Trinidad Head
Outside of San Francisco Bay, we had 25-30 knots of wind (measured by hand-held anemometer on deck) and 10-15 foot seas that were very short and choppy. Rounded Cape Mendocino at 2:00 am or so, and encountered heavier wind on the nose and bigger, more violent seas.
Stopped and picked up a mooring here to avoid getting in to Crescent City in the dark. Not confident in the tank tender (fuel gauge) yet, so have settled on Crescent City rather than Brookings to be sure of having enough fuel. No tender, so no trips ashore.
